Everything that has wings flies<\/h4>\n

It was a handful of aviation enthusiasts who founded the \u201eWeisse M\u00f6ve Wels\u201c model building club in 1949, even though they actually had something else in mind at the time. However, real flying was forbidden by the occupying forces.\n So the like-minded men met disguised as model builders, so to speak.<\/p>\n

Security required relocation<\/h4>\n

Since the 1970s, we, the model pilots of the \u201eWeisse M\u00f6we\u201d, have had our own airfield north of Wels. The reason for moving out of the airfield at that time was a critical situation between a model aircraft and a glider.\n and a glider. Fortunately, nothing happened, but it was clear that large and small aircraft were no longer allowed to come together on one airfield for safety reasons.<\/p>\n

Perfect infrastructure<\/h4>\n

Two separate grass tracks, each 120 meters long and 20 meters wide, have therefore been laid out on the new 10,000 m\u00b2 site. There is a neat, fully insulated clubhouse on the site\n with a 400-volt power supply. A preparation area fenced off by hedges with charging stations for electric planes and a parking area for cars offer pilots a safe place to pursue their hobby. In addition\n We also have an electrically powered winch, a large petrol-powered towing machine and three electrically powered towing machines for launching models with a wingspan of up to 9 meters. In addition\n we also have workshop facilities at the Wels airfield where we can solve tricky construction problems together.<\/p>\n

Welcome to our club evenings<\/h4>\n

We cover a wide range of model aircraft. It ranges from beginner gliders to all variants of electric and combustion-powered aircraft and 3-meter aerobatic planes. We also have turbine-powered airplanes, gliders equipped with retractable engines with a wingspan of up to 9 m and helicopters. With our 100 members, we have pretty much reached our capacity limit, but we still welcome guests and cordially invite everyone to visit us at one of the monthly club evenings. They take place every 1st Friday of the month.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
