Flying is the epitome of freedom.

The classic career of a pilot at Weisse Möwe is as follows: First you are a model pilot as a child, then a glider pilot as a teenager and from 17 you acquire your private pilot's license. Motorized flying is a sport that challenges the body, intellect and character to a high degree and keeps you fit in many ways. It is therefore not surprising that many of our members remain active pilots into old age.

Convenient and versatile

The powered flight and ultralight sections of the WMW are a „comfort flying club“ with 400 members. Our membership structure is diverse: students, trainees, airline and army pilots, doctors, technicians, craftsmen, priests, accountants, entrepreneurs and many more, accountants, entrepreneurs and many more. Our fleet of aircraft is impressive. If variety is important to you, you've come to the right place. Our fleet also includes technically sophisticated aircraft with retractable landing gear, turbo and variable pitch propellers. are part of our fleet. Our aircraft are suitable for VFR (visual flight), NVFR (night vision flight) and IFR (instrument flight) as well as for towing gliders and flying banners. Naturally, all aircraft are commercially serviced and fully insured.

Simply take off!

The planes can be reserved on our homepage. The best thing about it: there is almost always a plane available. Once you have made your choice, everything else is easy: reserve, refuel at our own refueling station, fly, clean the wing edges and then off to the „Möwe“ club restaurant. If you need a flight plan or a met briefing, we have our own PC in the briefing room. Take-off and landing training is also possible on our two grass runways. The uncontrolled airfield and the proximity to Linz are very beneficial for the cultivation of powered flight and the simple training options for control zones and IFR procedures. All in all, the possibilities at the Weisse Möwe are extremely varied: we offer advertising banner flights, photo flights, aerobatic flights and even wedding flights. Flights to Zell am See for skiing are also possible. Many of our colleagues also like to invite guests to fly with us.

Joy in the third dimension!

Trips around the world or to South Africa are not uncommon for our members. But it doesn't have to be to another continent. Vacation or travel flights to the sea are also very popular. Portorož or Venice, for example, are is only an hour and a half away. Our club excursions are a welcome change and promote camaraderie. We have often gone south together, for example to the popular vacation island of Lošinj.

The flight option is agreed and processed exclusively between the passenger and the pilot in charge, not with the „Weisse Möwe Wels” association.
